Description: A trip to one of the most famous rock art regions in Colorado. It includes Fremont and Ute sites along a substantial length of Douglas Creek. CaƱon Pintado, is a broad shallow canyon, named by the Dominguez and Escalante Expedition (1776) in reference to the rock art. See the attached brochure for more information.

Hiking: Short hikes on developed trails. Minimal elevation change.

Driving: Paved road with 1 mile of dirt road. About 160 miles, 3 hours (round trip).

Vehicle: Any
