EASY The petroglyphs are one of the best places to see Western Archaic and Cohonina style petroglyphs in northern Arizona. The site is located on private land owned by Karen Hanks and remarkably there is very little graffiti or vandalism. In 2006, Karen was awarded the Governor's Archaeological Advisory Commission Award as Avocation Archaeologist of the Year for allowing the public access to the site. An easy hike, less than half a mile round trip, along a basalt cliff. Driving time, about one hour each way.
