Rock Art Studies: A Bibliographic Database

This free open-access online bibliographic database is hosted by the Museum of Northern Arizona. Created and maintained by ARARA Past-President Leigh Marymor, this invaluable resource now contains over 35,000 citations to the world's rock art literature.  Searches can be by Author, Title, Place keyword, Subject keyword, and ISBN number.

The Rock-Art Discussion List

An online rock art discussion list hosted by Arizona State University encourages individual participation. This list is independent of ARARA. You can subscribe to the rock-art list at the ROCK-ART List subscription link.

Once you have subscribed, log in at http://lists.asu.edu/archives/rock-art.html to view current topics and the archive of past discussions.

Rock Art Papers   

The Rock Art Papers publicaton series beginning with Volume 18 in 2016 and the annual San Diego Rock Art Symposium have been taken over by the San Diego Rock Art Association. Past volumes of Rock Art Papers published by the San Diego Museum of Man are no longer available from the Museum, which has discontinued its publication program. Out-of-print volumes may be obtained from Piedra Pintada Books and other online retailers.

Utah Rock Art   

Papers presented at annual URARA conferences are available for free download on the URARA website.

Rock Art Research   

Journal of IFRAO, the International Federation of Rock Art Organizations.

INORA

International Newsletter On Rock Art   edited by Jean Clottes. Issues of INORA from No. 1 (1992) through No. 74 (2016) are available for free download on the ICOMOS Documentation website. Jean Clottes has announced that No. 91 (2022) will be the last issue of this newsletter. We do not have a source for later issues. You could try contacting Jean Clottes directly at the link below:
