Vendor Information and Registration

Barbara Anne am Ende will chair the Vendor Room for the ARARA Conference in Visalia, May 23-26, 2025. Deadline for vendor applications is April 20. The Vendor Room will be open—to ARARA 2025 Conference attendees only—on Saturday, May 24, and Sunday, May 25, 2025. Barbara will be the primary pre-conference contact.

All interested artists/craftsmen/producers must submit an application for the juried sale. Examples of acceptable items could include: original artwork to include painting, pottery, jewelry, fabric art, and artist-made petroglyphs and/or pictographs on portable rocks or other surfaces.  As always, submissions must never include artifacts of any kind. Some leeway may be permitted regarding acceptable materials.  For example, local citrus or other crafts from the Visalia area may be considered acceptable.  Early consultation with Barbara prior to the deadline will be advantageous for determining if your materials will be accepted.

To maintain a high quality and diversified Vendor Room, we are asking interested ARARA members to submit a good description of the material to be offered along with a portfolio of slides, clear photographs, product brochures, or other supporting information. This requirement is waived if you were accepted as a vendor for one or more of the past four ARARA Conferences. To help defray the costs of providing vendor space, vendors are required to donate the higher of $50 or 10% of gross sales. Each vendor will be provided a table (6 or 8 feet in length, depending on availability at the conference center) and two chairs.

To exhibit or sell, complete the Vendor Registration at the bottom of this page. A payment of $50 will be required and will be refunded if you are not accepted as a vendor.

Vendor applications must be submitted by April 15, 2025, to allow time for the jury process and enable us to plan vendor exhibit space. Vendors will be notified by May 5, 2025 of their acceptance or rejection. Rejected applicants’ deposit will be returned. Late requests will be considered only if space allows, and will be charged an additional $15 late fee, not applied to the 10% sales commission.

A California Seller’s Permit is required for each vendor. These are available only on-line, only.  The information website is:

Note:  There is a short term "temporary" permit available for up to 90 days, but has specific stipulations that must be met.

All sales are subject to sales tax.  The combine taxes are 8.50% in Visalia.  For reference:

    Vendor registration for the ARARA 2025 conference in Visalia. For details on being a vendor at special events in California see the text on the vendor page.

    The conference will start on Friday May 23 and close Tuesday May 27. Friday is typically a setup day for vendors and Monday May 26 and Tuesday May 27 are field trip days. So, the vendor days will be Saturday May 24 and Sunday May 25.

    Vendors will be in the same room as the presentations. The room can be locked but it will need to be opened at extended times to allow for other activities.

    Vendors pay a small fee, a percentage of revenue, and agree to provide an item for the auction as described on the vendor page.
